Terms of Service
Last updated 7 September 2026
These terms govern your use of Codepixel, an agentic software-delivery platform operated by Softpixel at codepixel.app. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you have the authority to bind it.
1. Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@codepixel.app if you believe it has been compromised. One person may not maintain multiple free accounts to circumvent plan limits.
2. What the service does
Codepixel plans, writes, tests and deploys software on your instruction, using large language models and ephemeral build sandboxes. It is an automated system: it acts on your prompts, and the work it produces is a starting point that you are expected to review.
3. Your content, and who owns the output
You keep all rights to the material you bring โ your requirements, repositories, files and data. You grant us only the licence needed to host, process and display that material in order to operate the service for you.
As between you and us, you own the code and documents Codepixel generates for you, to the extent such output is capable of being owned. You are responsible for reviewing it before use. Generated code may be similar to code produced for other users from similar prompts, and we make no claim of exclusivity over it.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use Codepixel to:
- Build or distribute malware, spyware, or tools whose primary purpose is unauthorised access to systems or data.
- Infringe someone else's intellectual property, privacy or other rights.
- Break the law, or generate material that is unlawful where you or your users are.
- Mine cryptocurrency, run unrelated compute workloads, or otherwise use build sandboxes for anything but building your project.
- Attack, overload, probe or reverse engineer the platform, or attempt to escape a sandbox or reach another tenant's data.
- Resell the service, or use it to build a directly competing product.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches this section, and where the breach threatens the platform or other users we may do so without notice.
5. Third-party services
Codepixel routes work to model providers and integrates with services such as GitHub and Stripe. Your use of those services is also governed by their terms, and their availability is outside our control. If you supply your own model API keys, usage on those keys is billed to you by that provider directly.
6. Plans, billing and cancellation
Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe on the cycle shown at checkout, and renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and you keep access until then. Except where the law requires otherwise, fees already paid are not refundable. We will give reasonable notice before changing prices, and a change takes effect at your next renewal. Usage above your plan's limits may be throttled or charged as set out on the pricing page.
7. Availability
We work to keep Codepixel available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice before removing something you depend on where circumstances allow. Sandboxes are ephemeral by design and you should not treat them as durable storage.
8. Disclaimer
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Automated systems make mistakes: generated code may contain errors, security flaws or licence-incompatible material, and you are responsible for reviewing and testing it before you rely on it or ship it.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your use of the service, or your breach of these terms.
11. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for a material breach of these terms, or where required by law. On termination your right to use the service ends; the sections that by their nature should survive โ ownership, disclaimer, liability, indemnity โ do survive.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the product before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
